International Symposium on Open, Distance, and e-Learning Bali, Indonesia, 4 – 6 December 2012

  • Introduction

    The rapid development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has changes in all aspect of human life including the way people work, learn and teach. Information and Communication Technology has been widely used in most learning community as an enabler for a new way of learning and teaching.

    Through ICT, numerous researches, experimentations, and applications have been implemented. These efforts have been resulting in more effective, efficient and appropriate methods of learning and teaching in various aspects including welfare,  health, economics and environments. Indonesian education community also takes part in the fulfillment of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by developing Open, Distance, and e-Learning for all.

    Promoting open and distance learning nowadays has the advantages from ICT development, The ICT Center for Education (Pustekkom) Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia, takes the efforts to lead a discussion forum on “Enhancing Lifelong Learning for All: Achieving Global Welfare” in the 2012 International Symposium on Open, Distance, and e-Learning (ISODEL).

    ISODEL 2012 is designed to provide valuable opportunities for policy makers, researchers, practitioners, students, and scholars across the world to share ideas, best practices, and recommendations in promoting lifelong learning for all in its relation to achieve global welfare through the application of open, distance and e-Learning worldwide.

    The wide array education exhibition will also expose remarkable technology driven education products and services in the field of open, distance and e-Learning.

    We look forward to engaging with you in ISODEL 2012 for a productive discussion and sharing, and meaningful contribution to enhance the lifelong learning for all as a means to achieve the global welfare.

  • Call for Paper

     

        Prospective authors are invited to submit their proposed papers to the Committee. Paper should be written in English and not exceed ten pages (include: pictures and tables). Scientific Committee will review all papers for possible acceptance. Relevance to the theme and sub-themes, and originality of approach are among major considerations in the selection of papers.
       The Committee reserves the right to decline proposed papers without giving reasons. Paper should have been received by 1 September 2012. Announcement of acceptance will be e-mailed by 1 October 2012, and final submission should have been submitted not later than 26 October 2012, otherwise presentation will be canceled.
    "Due to the request of the potential candidates, the committee will extend the receiving deadline to 15 November 2012"
